Monday, July 25th, 2011UNVEILING OF LINGERIE GIANT LA SENZA’S PITT ST MALL STORE!
Friday, July 22nd, 2011After the much anticipated arrival of their fabulously colourful online store, The cheeky lingerie giant, owned by Victoria’s Secret – La Senza rolled out the pink carpet last night on their decadently designed, signature ‘pink’ store, located in the recently renovated and relaunched Westfield Shopping Centre, in the heart of Sydney’s luxury shopping district – Pitt St Mall!
I was lucky enough to go along and assist at the event, and what an event it was! With gorgeous models walking around the store wearing only La Senza lingerie (the next Victoria’s Secret models I’d say!) and yummy food from numerous countries all over the world, I was in retail heaven on one huge pink cloud!
Bernie & I going through the runsheet for the nights events!
La Senza’s fun, flirty and affordable lingerie meets each and every girl’s needs – without burning a hole in your pocket. Whether it’s the “Perfectly Me” bra for the perfect you or the “Body Kiss” bra that is beyond comfortable, you will be a total knockout in the latest colours and prints on offer every season.
Since opening their doors for the first time in Canada in 1990, La Senza has been on a mission to provide ‘Lingeristas’ all over the world with the sassiest bras, panties, loungewear and sleepwear. La Senza first came to Australia in 2005, contributing to the global operation in 48 countries, with 780 stores worldwide.
La Senza’s icon brand image – the classic, 50s pin up girl – celebrates a fun, young, sassy and sexy attitude; and the La Senza shopping experience is just as fun and playful as the collections it holds.
An exciting and enticing ride, head to one of their stores or their online store ASAP for a girly but naughty fix! It will change the way you dress…under your clothes!

LEVIS FILM WORKSHOP AT MOCA!
Thursday, July 21st, 2011After the recent success of the Levis Print Workshop in San Francisco and the Levis Photo Workshop in New York, Levis announces the opening of its third Levi’s Workshop in Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art– The Film Workshop!
The story of graffiti and street art, as well as other cultural forms that have emerged from the underground subculture, has made this Film Workshop come to life. Through a series of collaborative film and video projects, robust educational programming and a city-wide screening series – this Film Workshop is one not to be missed!
As part of its additional support for the museum and the show, the Levi’s brand has also collaborated with MOCA to create a limited-edition collection of Levi’s Trucker Jackets featuring artwork by Art in the Streets artists including Shepard Fairey, Lady Pink, Chaz Bojorquez and KR. All proceeds from the Trucker Jacket sales will benefit MOCA.
The series of Levi’s Workshops are designed to celebrate the American pioneering spirit and inspire communities across the globe to engage in creative collaboration for the common good. Sounds like fun to me, and did I mention its free! Australia need something inrpired by this!
Get amongst it.

Thursday, July 21st, 2011Thirty-three of Australia’s most inspirational ladies will be counting down the next seven days in anticipation of the annual Cosmopolitan Fun, Fearless Female awards – they are all in the running for a coveted award!
Yes, it’s almost time to find out which lucky ladies will come out top in the 11 categories, which include TV Personality, Actress, Blogger and Designer. This year’s Finalists read like a who’s who of cool and captivating; from the adorable TV presenter and model Rachael Finch (who has been drumming up votes on radio, Twitter, and Facebook!), to our favourite woman in the kitchen Poh Ling Yeow, fans of the cut-out mini dress Bec and Bridge, and turntable queen DJ Havana Brown – we have a feeling it’s going to be a close call in the voting stakes!
And one deserving Finalist who receives the most votes overall will be crowned ‘Woman of the Year’ – an accolade previously held by Black Swan actress Mila Kunis (in the US awards) and 2Day FM’s Jackie O.
Voting has now officially closed for the awards, but if you still want to get involved you can place a little flutter on your favourite female through bookmaker Tom Waterhouse - go on, think of it as an early Melbourne Cup!
And as for us, well we’re preparing for the grand Awards night at Sydney’s Catalina restaurant on Wednesday 27 July. With a few special surprises, to-die-for dresses and even a hot pink carpet, this is going to be one glamorous night to remember!
Stay tuned for this year’s winners! xx Amy
Levis x Comme des Garcons
Wednesday, July 20th, 2011
Comme des Garcons’ head designer Junya Watanabe brings luxury to the high street in a special collaboration for Levis Spring/Summer 2011 . . .
While the above “jeans” look like your everyday designer collab, Junya Watanabe takes it a step further. The jeans are NOT denim, yes you read correct, an indigo dyed 5 pocket sweat pant. Talk about comfortable whilst still being fashion forward! The sweat pant look-a-like jeans are printed with the texture of scanned Levis vintage 501XX. To encourage the confusion further, zippers, button, stitching and leather patch are made from real parts of Levis jeans but the pockets and belt loops are made out of cotton jersey fabric.
The betties cannot wait until to sport a pair!
