Historic Houses Trust
June 18th, 2009
There is something that really hits close to the heart for the girls at Sweaty Betty … Our History.
No we are not a bunch of book worms but we do however appreciate the grand old buildings of our past, and the Historic Houses Trust (a department of Arts Sports and Recreation) works on inspiring appreciation of Australia’s diverse histories and cultural heritage for present and future generations by conserving, interpreting and managing, with places of cultural significance. – It is one of the largest state museums in Australia and is entrusted with the care of key historic buildings and sites in New South Wales.
HHT was established to run Vaucluse House (back drop to many movies!!) and Elizabeth bay. Over time it has expanded to manage 14 various sites. The HHT holds extensive collections in each of its properties and carries out a dynamic range of programs and activities attracting over two million visitors to their houses and museums each year.
HHT currently have events running throughout winter. We know we won’t be missing out and neither should you!
