FACE OF AUSTRALIA has revealed exciting news this week, announcing itself as the official sponsors of “The Face of Australia, Australian National Costume”, a competition to find the perfect gown to be worn centre stage by Miss Universe Australia, Renae Ayris, in the 2012 Miss Universe pageant set to be held in December this year.

Every year the Miss Universe Australian Nation Costume sparks both controversy and excitement on a local and international scale. In November 2012, a national competition will be staged where young, upcoming and established designers will compete to design this coveted costume. All entrants will be put in front of a judging panel with the final 4 costumes being photographed, modeled and televised nationally. For the first time ever, the public audience will vote for the costume that they believe will best represent Australia at the Miss Universe event, which attracts a television audience of over a billion people.
