Kirsty Thatcher – watch this space, seriously. The stunning 13 year old was crowned the winner of the 2012 DOLLY Model Search this morning and thanks to makeup sponsor Face of Australia, we were lucky enough to attend the breakfast event hosted at the beautifully refurbished MCA Quayside Room. MC ‘Smallzy’ from Nova, introduced the gorgeous six finalists to a room of Sydney media & discussed the return of the Original DOLLY Model Search.

The magazine & competition places an emphasis on looking for more than just a pretty face, and strongly supports development of a healthy body image in young girls.  As well as scoring a modeling contract, the winner will be a spokesperson for DOLLY for a year shaping to be a role model for other teenage girls.

The DOLLY Model Search has launched the careers of our favourite Australian models Miranda Kerr & Jess Hart, and we are certain Kirsty will follow in the path of these supermodel status predecessors. We couldn’t get past that the eye-catching brunette was only 13!! Wearing low-top Converse Chuck Taylors, and on trend mint bandage skirt the leggy teenager towered over Smallzy and her own Mum (below for a too cute snap of them together.) AND we are dying over her on the cover on the August Edition of Dolly, out today.
