British Fashion Awards 2011
November 29th, 2011
The annual British Fashion Awards set the global style agenda for 2011, showcasing Britain’s top creative directors. Held yesterday at the lavish Savoy Hotel and Theatre in London, the ceremony was hosted by George Lamb and Lauren Laverne. Our expectant leading lady of the night, taking out Designer of the Year was Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen who poised the audience with her twist of couture.

Keep your eyes and ears peeled for Model Stella Tennant who outshone competitors with her timeless beauty. Featured in numerous editorials and campaigns such as Italian Vogue and Harpers Bazaar it’s no wonder this striking model was the stand out in her section.

The Beckham’s will have to build a new trophy cabinet as Burberry, Stella McCartney and Tom Ford were no match for the likes of style icon Victoria Beckham who won Designer Brand 2011.

2011 also saw the introduction of two new awards for 2011; The New Establishment Award and Emerging Talent Award for Menswear; these awards projected upcoming influential faces in fashion. The New Establishment Award went to Christopher Kane, who embroiders a unique fashion stance and continues to lead trends globally, while the Emerging Talent Awards went to Christopher Raeburn.
Some of the Betties’ favourites from the night include Kate Hudson, Alexa Chung, Kelly Brook and Olivia Palermo.
