GROWERS MARKET – PYRMONT

Wednesday, December 22nd, 2010

The Sydney Morning Herald Growers’ Market has seen its last market day for 2010 and will start again in 2011 on February 5.

The Sydney Morning Herald Growers’ Market is held on the first Saturday of every month at Pyrmont Bay Park on Pirrama Road, from 7 am to 11 am. The market operates rain, hail or shine but is closed in January.

Every month features around 80 stalls offering everything from fresh fruit and seasonal vegetables to lamb, beef, pork and seafood. You can enjoy coffee from one of the suppliers with a cooked breakfast – sausages, bacon and eggs, pastries or freshly baked bread with a selection of cheese or smallgoods.

Be inspired by the guest chef cooking with market produce on the Market Chef stage, demonstrations at 8:30 and 9:30am.

If your a foody like moi – it’s a produce market not to be missed!!!

REOWWWWW

“Calm down pussy cat” is what I tell myself whenever I lay my eyes on ANY leopard print. Yes, you are not seeing things, the leopard print look is back and no it is not tacky(to all you haters). This time round, Animal prints are tre chic and I literally start to hyperventilate when I lay my eyes on the gorgeous prints!

Now I am not saying I want to look like something out of Madagascar but I am saying a little leopard goes a long way in updating a plain outfit. I am talking Louie Vuitton scarfs or maybe even some Leopard Stilettos – hello Dior! Ahh yes, the options are all there for us if we want it, and trust me – I want it!

Even D&G showed off their animal instinct at Milan Fashion week with their Spring/Summer 11 collection and not one’s to do anything half way – blew me away! That’s the thing about animal print, it allows you to step outside the clean cut lines of the fashion cupboard and express yourself. This season animal print is a must for any fashion forward individual who wants to ooze confidence.

Safari Bling!

Monday, December 20th, 2010

The reemergence of Khaki as a dominant colour in the style spectrum means that there is now a dash of colour in my otherwise relatively bleak wardrobe, which was previously only filled with blacks, greys and whites.

LFW_Fall_10_Trends_-_khaki_2

Luckily for me it seems that  my wardrobe will continue to see colour next year!

All of the international mags are still doing fashion shoots revolving around khaki and I cant get enough!

Designers form Jean Paul Gaultier and Michael Kors have all gone Khaki mad!

Something else that has developed from this Khaki craze is a very animal centric range of jewellery!

Chopard have released a collection of jewel encrustd pieces such as a jewel encrusted Monkey pendant made from “white gold set with brown diamonds and tsavorites, on a white gold chain set with briolette-cut rubellites ” (Price on request)

Access all Areas!

Thursday, December 16th, 2010

image002 (15)

Across two wonderful days in February 2011, will take place the Access all Areas music conference, where young, aspiring musicians from around the country will learn from the pros how to gain access to a future in the music industry!

Speakers that have just been announced are Bliss N Eso, country music’s Gina Jeffreys and rock photographer Tony Mott. And this isn’t all…it just gets better…

Held at the Seymour centre, this is the one stop shop for all music hopefuls who one day hope to inspire like-minded hopefuls on the stories, the experiences, and the road to becoming a muso! Participants will take part in vocal & dance workshops, professional photo shoots and open mic – and above all networking…and this can only mean one thing…to help young undiscovered artists!

The speaker line up is ridiculously outrageous – all these names in one place, will blow you away. Combining a wealth of music industry knowledge and experience in the field, there will be so much to learn. To add to the list, other speakers include Justice Crew Academy & members of the Video Hits, Nova & Universal Music teams – amazing!

Access All Areas is an incredible event hosted by registered music industry charity Musicians making a difference (MMAD). 100% of proceeds will be donated to the work of MMAD, which helps homeless, traumatized and troubled young people through music, dance and mentoring.

Mix music with good will and you have Access All Areas – an event of a lifetime.

Tickets to Access All Areas can be purchased at the Seymour Centre Box Office on (02) 9351 7940 or www.seymourcentre.com.au
