If I was a single girl, last night would have been my ideal hunting ground for a handsome suitor – over 250 of Sydney’s gorgeous tanned snowboarders and surfers, copious amounts of alcohol, death-defying extreme sports and some seriously hot tunes…

The gathering was to celebrate ‘The B’ – Burton’s latest short film chronicling the stunts of its pro snowboarding team in parks, pipes, and backcountry throughout New Zealand and North America. As designated door-bitches (and the most over-dressed people there – the crowd was a mass of thongs and boardies!) we were lapping up the attention from the guys, who included Shaun Kenny Dowall, Anthony Cherrington and Troy Savage – Sydney Roosters, Burton professional riders Mitch Allan, Jye Kearney, Nick Gregory, Tom Pelley, and pro surfer Koby Abberton.

Armed with popcorn and beers (kindly sponsored by Corona), the movie was screened to whoops and calls from the audience, and then the party kicked off at upstairs Bridge Bar – but not before Roxy did a complete star turn as elevator-driver, jamming as many people as possible into each elevator and keeping the crowds entertained while they waited!
You’d never have thought it was a Thursday night – these guys were partying hard! The wine and beers flowed freely and we worked the room like true PR queens, even finding our own young pro snowboarder, Ollie, who reckoned he was man enough to take on the Betties! And Roxy earned major credentials after informing the boys that she’d ‘hung out’ with Snoop Dogg last year!

With our hectic schedules, we had to call it a night early and leave the young things to it – we’re sure there were lots of sore heads this morning! Check out the Burton website for a sneak preview of ‘The B’.
